Help me out on the processes
I have never been a basketball coach at any level, so I don't know beans about it. However, my concerns about our staff to this point are driven by my assumption that there must be some differences in the process at different levels. It seems logical that the recruiting budget at most D2 schools is going to be much less than the budgets at most D1 schools. Therefore the processes that they go through would necessarily have to be somewhat different. I may be way off base. There may not be enough difference to matter.

I look at the first three hires, and I ask myself, again, "Were these the best candidates available?"

Maybe this is going to be a case where the entire staff just grows up together - learn on the job - and we have to be patient. I guess the bottom line is not where we start out, but where we end up. And if we end up at the right place, then everything is OK.
