I think you asked for this...the seventh inning stretch at the "Tigue."

This was done pre-renovations back in 2013. Hopefully we'll have another good one at the tournament.

That wasn't their best performance. When the entire grandstand sings at the same time, it becomes quite the sight.

It's one of the more innovative traditions in college baseball.

Wait until Appalachian decides to start winning games. Talk about innovation.

Its a baseball thing.

Basically all the top traditions in College baseball involve a bunch of singing and claipping, outside of Texas A&M's Ball 4, Ball 8 Ball 12 etc chant.

Is that an A&M thing? We've been doing that at the Tigue for a while. Wondering if it was borrowed from them.

To clarify, I’m sure it’s very cool live and in person, but singing and clapping isn’t innovative as you say. They do that at church.

You must go to a very different church than me...

A&M gets the most credit for it, primarily because there are documented instances in which it clearly rattled the opposing pitcher.

It's not the most innovative, but it works. Florida State fans breaking out into O' Canada in the 5th inning of every game is much more innovative.

What's innovative is it's John Fogerty's Centerfield at the seventh inning stretch, and we've been doing it for longer than most stadiums have played it at all. No, we don't have Harry Caray (although we do have and have had a few folks who've appreciated a frosty beverage or two....) but we sing it in mass and keep singing (even when the music stops to announce the batter) until the song is done. We also don't do it for the audience or visitors, although we don't mind if you join. You'll also find late inning bullpen changes by the opposition accompanied by Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody sung by who else, the Muppets.
