Women's sports, in general, have the tendency to run chalk more often than men's sports. It's a great sign of consistency which isn't seen as often in men's sports.
Looking at these Super Regionals series, we are guaranteed 1 PAC and 2 SEC. Each conference still competing can advance at most: SEC (7), PAC (4), ACC (1), XII (1).
Matchups:
(1) Oregon vs (16) Kentucky
(2) Florida vs (15) Texas A&M
(3) UCLA vs (14) Arizona
(4) Oklahoma vs (13) Arkansas
(5) Washington vs (12) Alabama
(6) Florida St vs (11) LSU
(7) Georgia vs (10) Tennessee
(8) Arizona St vs (9) South Carolina
Super Regional hosts by conference: PAC (4), SEC (2), ACC (1), XII (1). Only 1 lower seed is a non-SEC school (Arizona, PAC). I wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple upsets, especially for "underdog" SEC programs not traveling too far: Arkansas, LSU, and Tennessee.

Double-elimination tends to favor teams with more depth, as well, especially pitching depth. North Dakota State beat Mississippi State on Friday behind their ace, but lost to them 12-0 in an elimination game Saturday when they threw their #2 starter. Mid-majors will always struggle to recruit that same kind of depth of talent that power schools have, no matter the sport.
