Tough one last night
Came back from a 5-1 deficit. Tied the score, but left the based loaded in the bottom of the 8th. Then ASU scored a run in the 9th after getting the lead-off batter on after he struck out. ULL wins after ULM left the based loaded in the top of the 10th. So we are almost certain to be the 6th seed. Would take crazy things to happen for us to win the Division or fall below 6th. It's where we belong based on our record, but we definitely had our chances to win the Division and get a 2 seed. Regardless where we finish, we will have to beat some darn good teams to win the tourney.

6 seed?
We have every intention of making you the 7 seed. Texas State is just a half game back of you guys, and play an awful UTA team that's lost 5 straight this weekend. One More loss on your end drops you to the preliminary round, where ironically enough, we'd probably meet again.

I guess you are right that we could be in big trouble. I looked at a site, last night, that had Texas State at 13-15 (We are 14-13). Apparently that site was wrong and they are 14-14. In the first scenario, we would have had to have gone 0-2 and they would have had to have gone 2-0. With us at home and UTA at home, I thought that was quite unlikely. Now it's almost a toss-up but, of course, we still have a slight advantage.

Well you did your part tonight. ASU 4 LR 1. Now LR fans just have to hope that UTA can keep their 1-0 lead against TxSt. From a possibility of first place to the play-in would be quite a drop for us, but pretty much par for the course considering our baseball history.

Little Rock seems to have painted themselves into a corner here at the end of the season. Really disappointing that such a good season for the most part may be collapsing at the end.

Texas State tied it with 2 outs in the 9th and scored 4 in the 10th to win 5-1.
They lead you guys by a half game for the 6th seed. You'll need to win tomorrow and hope UTA Beats Texas State to move back up. Good news if you were to lose tomorrow is that it would push us up to the 8/9 game and you'd be guaranteed to play one of ULM/TXST/UTA/App on Tuesday, who are on a combined 15 game losing streak or something crazy.
