Maybe we'll defend the fake bubble screen better this time around. 04-cheers

Watched the replay a couple days ago as well in a much better time slot than midnight.

There is this too if you don't want to dedicate three hours to it.

Actually, that is exactly how you win big games. Hang in there to the end and then have a chance to win. Come away with points on every red zone opportunity. Works in basketball and in football. Take the fumble out of the equation and we win the game.

Your math doesn't add up. We lost by 11. How does that fumble keep JMU from winning the game, considering it likely would have turned into a field goal attempt?

Trott made excellent adjustments at halftime going away frim zone and playing a tighter man defense. The folks on this board pointing fingers at defense because of one busted play don't know football.

Kirkpatrick hasn't been able to get his offense to get touchdowns in the redzone and Houston has elected to kick because he doesn't have faith that a 4th down play call and execution would be any better.

From the post game interview with North Dakota State Coach in January:
"We found a way to play red zone defense, which is a staple for us," Klieman said. "I say this all the time, field goals aren't going to beat you."

I may have to borrow this for my signature. As a long suffering Redskin fan, I frequently see them march down the field 75 yards only to come away with but 3 points. TD% in the red zone is one of my favorite stats. It separates the goods from the greats.

I'm in the same boat and the red zone struggles are very similar. Hopefully both JMU and Redskins will do better in that area this weekend!
