Arkansas is redoing their north end zone as well, believe opens this season.

Arkansas Waterfall....

Friend sent photo, the rocks for the waterfall are starting to be delivered.
For whatever reason the AD always says "water feature" any time some says waterfall.
Given that he's from Kansas City (Royals fountains) I suspect the first time we score in 2018 there might be a surprise from the "water feature"

North Texas is currently installing a new FieldTurf Cool Play Surface at Apogee.

Also, we should be breaking ground on our new indoor practice facility in the next few months. And, we should be getting new video boards at Apogee in the near future.

I'll have to try to make a game there...looks interesting. What is going to be the new seating capacity?

Not sure if they've broken ground yet but Miami at least is raising money for an indoor practice facility. As I understand it that will also include a new fieldhouse for all the training and meeting stuff.

That stadium was only built like 5 years ago and they need new turf already?

UNT has played 7 seasons on the current turf. The sun around here can wear out turf much faster than up north.

Sounds like a personal problem 03-lmfao However, stainless steel troughs are the most efficient way. Sadly too many complain and they will be going too. Your wish has been granted.

It's time for new turf, and our AD wanted to get better quality stuff. This new CoolPlay system is supposed to help prevent player injuries and keep the field 20 degrees cooler than the usual field turf. From what I've heard Nebraska and Notre Dame have this turf.

30,000ish. Haven't found out what the net loss is from removing the end zone bleachers and replacing them with premium seating.

Being 6'4" and 220lbs I liked the aspect that leg room was being increased.

This stadium would be awesome for a pre-Christmas bowl game. Maybe CUSA vs SunBelt, MAC or AAC. Having the ACC as a backup could work for a 6-6 ACC team.

This is really smart gleaned from the article: The entire stadium, including the seating bowl design, will be configured to allow the building to expand in the future. This layout will allow for a potential future connection to the existing south end zone game day building on the mezzanine concourse level, a connection to a north end zone seating expansion and the addition of a club area and premium spaces.

Georgia Southern installed a cooling system a couple seasons ago and it's made a world of difference in the South Georgia sun.

ND's $400 million addition/renovation to Notre Dame Stadium was done before last season, but:

Because of the brand-new additions and renovations, Notre Dame Stadium was nominated today for Facility of the Year.

The MAC would be smart to work with CUSA on a new bowl game while getting away from playing the SBC in Alabama twice.

We may not see any new bowls any time soon. Taking 5 win teams in 2015 and 2016 stressed out many in the football community.

MAC and CUSA could swap one of the Alabama games for New Mexico. With Bankowsky gone, it wouldn't surprise me if Mobile made a play for CUSA but it also wouldn't surprise me if Mobile tried to jump ahead of NOLA to have first pick of MAC and Sun Belt.

Mobile has more seats to fill than Montgomery.
