Been doing some thinking, and I'm fairly confident NCA&T will not leave the MEAC.

But in regard to the College of Charleston, I'm still not convinced that they would not leave the CAA for the ASUN.

2019 NCAA money from basketball
ASUN-$3,363,600 (also in this group, A-10, SoCon, Big West, MAC, Mountain West)
CAA-$1,681,800 (also in this group to note,Big South, C-USA, SunBelt, Southland and SWAC)

So tell me again why an athletic program would not leave the CAA (unless it's a rivalry/proximity deal) to go to a conference that can make the program more money?

Glad to see a Bellarmine fan. Welcome...

And we all hope he will have Bellarmine ready to compete.
It's a much tougher conference than is given credit for, but I think that will change soon enough.

Thanks, I have all the respect in the world for this conference. I watched Liberty win a ncaa tourney game last season. I watched Lipscomb give the Louisville Fighting Cardinals all they wanted in the worlds most fabulous arena. I also saw the talented young players North Alabama has. Very excited to be joining this league!

Not only who you mentioned, FGCU has a great program, last year should be an anomaly, and North Florida can pull together any given year and win the conference. JU, Stetson and KSU should be on the upswing.

Just remember, it's not just a basketball conference, baseball and softball gets pretty competitive.

Welcome to the board! It’s a good D1 conference and the travel isn’t too bad. I know most LU fans are happy with our first year. I lived in Louisville for a couple of years and actually went for a small time to UOFL so I think the addition of Bellarmine is a solid D2 add. Any talks of upgrading facilities? I know Liberty is currently updating our football operations center and building a new 4500 seat basketball arena.
