Truth.
We do gripe a lot, but there's something I think we are 100% in agreement:
We want D'Abreu to be a JMU Duke.
He won't regret it.

RE: 2019 FB Recruiting
LOL - just saw that the 247 prediction pick was made by an “ECU insider” ... no bias there. Rivals says he visited ECU on the 19th.

My money say Rick wants to go to a winning program and win a championship, not strive to help turn a losing team into a mediocre one. He’s pretty engaged with all things JMU online.

He hasn’t tweeted anything JMU in a while - what other things is he engaged with regarding all things JMU?

You’re not looking at the right things ... He’s keeping tabs on Jimmy M, Curt Dudley, Benassi, Rashad, Haley, C Jones and others ... just in the past 3 days. Past and current JMU people and players

He also had a conversation with Brian @ Hero sports just yesterday - the topic was other JMU recruits he didn’t see on Brian’s list he thought should have been.

Is it a bit dramatic and overboard to call a woman who has organized a 20,000 member JMU facebook page and an active member of the JMU board of directors and the athletics community a "lunatic". Just curious on your hot take.

Well basically b/c if anyone disagrees with her she will shut them down and threaten or actually boot them out of her 'JMUNation' group. She will only permit 'open' discussion if it happens to be something she agrees with.

Lunatic was probably waayy to strong, but she definitely rubs a lot of folks the wrong way. It is not really that hard to setup a facebook group.

She has passion and gives her own time for JMU, but agreed that she has sharp elbows and can tend to overreact to things on social media

If this a dig, I don't really get it. Imagine if these boards were inundated with people trying to sell you JMU Longaberger baskets and JMU homemade earrings and spa products that have nothing to do with JMU aside from the shiller being an alumn. It'd be a terrible viewing experience. Now imagine that but on Facebook, so 20000x worse.

She decided to break into JMU Nation apparel and the like and it seems to be going okay. Don't get the hate on this one.

other than it is pretty hypocritical to claim a site is not for selling, then decide well unless it is me then it is ok, after the fact.

The only thing I know is what you just said soooo very limited knowledge. However, it sounds like the moderator of a facebook page will only allow things to be listed for sale if she is receiving part of the profits? This isn't her personal business page, this is a jmu alum page (aka basically a public group) and she shouldn't be censoring other advertising post.

Has JMU ever signed a 5 star recruit directly out of High School? I can’t think of anyone.

Pritchard looks great, however, the 247 site lists him as a 100% VT recruit. Hope they’re wrong, but it would be a HUGE signee for Houston and his staff.

Of course not. There are (or use to be) only about 30-40 Rivals 5* a year. Almost all of them go to your Alabamas, Georgias, Clempsons, FSUs, Ohio States, etc, etc..

JMU has never signed a 4* out of HS either. I don’t know of any I-AA that ever has. Rivals use to have around 300-350 of them. Most of those guys go P5. I believe very few sign G5..

The 3* (don't know how many-1000?) seem to sign a mix of P5 & G5, with I-AA getting a few.

The 2* (don’t know how many- 2000?) seem to mostly go G5, with some going P5 and some going I-AA..

I believe she is on this forum, don’t know her username. I say that because she often shares some of the same “takes” that I see on here. Most of the thousands on the fb page are not on here, so it may be news or interesting to them. She and one of JMU’s HoFer’s on here have an interesting fan relationship and interaction.
