UMKC gets to host WAC Championship
...just not in basketball. The WAC Track and Field Championships are currently being held in Lawrence, Kansas so very close to UMKC. Good trade off for the WAC basketball tournament, right?

I think they did host the cross country one once. Maybe I am wrong about that though.

UMKC has hosted several WAC tournaments since joining. Just not basketball.
