If I am not mistaken, Bryant Junior almost quoted Blazertalk threads complaining about Callaway when he talked to the media defending the OCS being pulled from the meeting agenda.

He's posted here in the past, though it's been some years now. Golden-gallon-guzzling geezer probably still reads, so here goes:

1. UAB has football.
2. Your side lost the Civil War.
3. We've had a black president.
4. Gay people can get married.
5. Martin Luther King Jr. has a national holiday. Paul W. Bryant Sr. does not.

Do you honestly think that man regularly accesses the internet on his own? Much less navigates the somewhat “vintage” features of this website? If he was ever “reading” blazertalk, he was reading print outs that an assistant made for him

There have been posters on here that have previously claimed that Bryant Jr had an ACCOUNT on blazertalk03-lmfao

The account that was alleged as being Bryant Jr made all kinds of internet meme and cultural references that would have been typically well beyond what a man of his age would have knowledge of, so I never believed it

Not that account. He (or someone very close to him) posted rarely, mostly in defense of his dog tracks. They do not appear to have survived in the archive.

1. Yes, but probably not on these boards in the recent past. He is active in Civil War battlefield preservation circles.
2. Executive summaries of blazertalk posts were indeed compiled and distributed. I doubt they still are.

And as for the implicit ageism in that post, &%^#NBLAZER is older than Junior and not only posts on Blazertalk, but knows how to google.

And he's building an F-ing hunting lodge on a few thousand acres just outside my home town. Everyone I know working on the project knows to fleece him every chance you get.

I used to think he was PBJ Jr.

All the posts... no ones know the father like the son.

Meanwhile is Kay Ivy a lesbian? Might as well since this thread is off the rail. (I really don't care, just continuing the derailment)

Now can we get back on track?

Seems like you don't need an announcement to tell people you're still going to the same school you originally signed with.

Nor do you announce it during the dead period. I think some people have alluded that it may not be Memphis, and I guess that has to be the case. Fingers crossed he's just excited for an AAU game tomorrow or something. The Memphis board has mentioned Penny's every move since he got hired, and they have not mentioned Boyce. Verbal Commits says they're already over by 1 scholarship too.

Here we are having this **** drug out, now the signing period is over and we begin the dead period with an open scholarship having to replace what could’ve been our biggest piece to turn the tide in recruiting. Now the coaching staff is at strike two. Assume we go after some more d1 transfers early on if we don’t decide to just let McCoy keep his scholarship and say forget it.

+1

Wouldn't have let this drag out so long.

I know you want to keep the kid if you can, but the program should always be bigger than one player (unless you have the #1 prospect with David Robinson-like character, then you make exceptions) and you get in front of stuff like this... that's something the basketball program has repeatedly neglected to do this past season. You always want the program to lead on stuff like this, not the player involved. Instead, we're sitting here on a Thursday watching the kid's social media instead of reading a statement from the head coach.

Would he be making an announcement without having already been let out of his NLI?

And, if he had already been let out of his NLI, wouldn't we have already heard about that?
