You tell me which is worse.
What's the crime Trump committed?
Question him to get him to lie about something and then impeach him? That seems to the strategery. A winning hand most certainly.
If he tells the truth and committed no crimes, then he has committed no crimes, yes?
But you're basically admitting our president cannot speak truthfully. Is it really that hard to not lie? Well for trump it is.
Half-truth by you
He hasn't declined to answer the questions as you imply. He's only declined to do it 'off the cuff' without the benefit of preparation and review before submission. He isn't nearly the polished speaker that most professional politicians are
Are you really interested in the truth, or are you merely interested in 'catching' someone who has made a lifetime of questionable 'off the cuff' remarks? I think the answer to that is obvious. There are all sorts of people I'd say I'd never met because they weren't important to me so I don't remember doing so, but I probably have... I can't imagine how it is for a public official and celebrity of sorts... and if I said 'I don't recall meeting them', I'm sure you'd call it a lie. Trump (without the ability to recheck his answer) is more likely to say 'no I haven't'... which of course implies to MOST people (that I recall)... but suddenly in court, it's lying.
Why would written answers to an investigation be less valuable than spoken ones?
Where did I say they were?
Typical by you.
And this continual "trump is not a polished politician or speaker" nonsense as an excuse to be an abject dunce who can't keep from lying is so precious coming for you guys.
well this abject dunce has kept the FBI and all their resources at bay... so its even more precious and typical of you... arguing in the absurd at every turn...
so is this 'where did I say they were'....
The entire premise of the thread is that Trump was willing to answer written questions... so any comment about him 'not being willing or able to tell the truth' is a lie on its face. You certainly implied that as I said.
LOTS of people (including I suspect you) are not as polished off the cuff as most politicians. Bill Clinton was incredibly polished, hence his moniker as slick willie. Trump clearly is not Bill Clinton off the cuff. Neither are most people. That doesn't make him an abject dunce.
Only a true dunce would agree to answer questions in person if there was an option to do it in writing.
If he's so stupid, why isn't he taking the bait?
Maybe he's not as dumb as you think?
That's the problem with you and what makes your rantings so cute. You contradict yourself. If he's so stupid, why couldn't Hillary beat him and why are you having so much trouble catching him?

You don’t know what I believe.
First of all I have never thought of Hussein as stupid. Dude was almost as slick as willie but he had the half black thing going for him. Clinton (the horndog one) was no where near stupid. The slip and fall one? Well maybe, but she, thank Trump, was never president.
Meanwhile my entire life, and it’s considerable, libturds have called Reagan, both Bushs and now Trump stupid. Gotta be stuck on stupid.

You don't answer questions in writing. That's kind of the point, you have a team write the answers.

Tom says: Trump *doesn't want to talk* because he can't keep from lying.
Tech Says: Question him to get him to lie about something and then impeach him? That seems to the strategery.
Tom says: basically admitting our president cannot speak truthfully.
Ham Says: Half-truth by you... He hasn't declined to answer the questions as you imply
Tom says: Where did I say they were?
He said you implied it tom, and it's pretty clear that's what you were implying...
Now the two questions you've refused to answer:
What crime has trump committed?
Why would written answers to an investigation be less valuable than spoken ones??
That’s the whole point. He isn’t committed a crime. If he had, there is no need to get him under oath prior to charging Trump. Its VERY unusual to demand someone answer questions under oath prior to charging them. There certainly is no requirement that the interview be done. If Mueller has a case, go get an indictment. The fact he is whining about needing to get Trump under oath tells me he has nothing.

No, I think what we are saying is that Mueller is an unethical SOB who is out to do whatever he can to get Trump, but so far he has nothing, so his Hail Mary is to get Trump into a a confusing mass of questions and then extract from that some inconsistency to prosecute as perjury. IIRC what Scooter Libby was ultimately convicted for is misremembering the date of a meeting. The kind of stuff that most of us typically don't remember in detail, but if you misspeak in an interview with Mueller, he comes down hard.
If he has a case, he doesn't need Trump. If he needs Trump, he doesn't have a case.
Maybe that's not what others are saying, don't mean to put words in their mouths, but I'm fine with that as my statement.
