Is Toledo a landing spot for Joe Burrow?
Joe Burrow announced today that he is transferring out of OSU after graduating in 3 years. He has two years of eligibility left.

He could bridge the gap the next two seasons, for us till we get the freshmen QB's ready.

Burrow was Mr. Football in Ohio in 2014, throwing for 4400+ yards and 63 TD's.

His dad is the DC @Ohio U. Not likely to end up at Toledo.

Rumored to be Nebraska since they're not on OSU's schedule next year and Scott Frost wants him. Florida also is a rumored destination. Fickell is extremely in on him too.

Problem with that is they already have a QB who is only a RS JR.

Ohio U already has a decent QB who transferred in and played like he was All MAC vs. UT last year. Nothing against Burrow, but, how many QB's do we need ? We have (2) QB Recruits that were (3-4) star QB's that are not even on campus yet.

Burrow has been the best pure QB on OSU's roster for the past three seasons according to many people connected with the program...he simply doesn't fit their scheme as well as Barrett did or Haskins does. He is absolutely a guy you want, his talent level blows a guy like Ely's out of the water honestly.

But not Carter Bradley's, an Elite 11 finalist, son of an NFL HC/DC.

Doubt Burrow ends up here & I'm OK with that. We may stumble a bit next season with a new QB--or maybe we won't. But I do think either one or the other of those 2 incoming freshmen will be the real deal within another season.

Who is also a freshman. Would be smart to have him understudy for a year with an RS instead of going to the wolves.

Two year's immediate eligibility, he's a gold mine for a program needing an immediate fill-in. Nebraska would be great for him. Frost made a name of Milton and he'll do the same for Burrow. Get him integrated and ready for first game.

Love to have him but if he was going to a team in the MAC it would be OU.

Nice to see a highlight reel of a QB hitting something besides wide open receivers against midgets.

Nebraska is on a downward trajectory. They will never recapture the glory days. No in-state recruits, crappy weather, worst academics in the Big Ten.....

Would this guy likely win the staring spot here? I'm all for winning, but I would have mixed reactions considering our situation at QB. If we knew the guy would likely start and play out his 2 years here, then OK. But, to have him come here for 1 year, then declare (for the draft)...I don't know if it's worth screwing up the depth chart. It's not like we are short on talent at QB. (Oh, I so hope we are not short on talent at QB.)

Well, at least Burrows’ highlights include a TD pass to himself. 03-lmfao

Hearing LSU is a real possibility, they are changing their offense from pro/I formation to more spread/RPO. Also, I'm hearing UC is in the running as Fickell and the Burrows are connected pretty well. Joey wants to go somewhere he can start this year. That takes UT out of the picture.

We have the receivers and program to entice him for sure. But I don't think we need him giving that Bradley is a promising future QB and Mitch/Eli know the system.

I agree, they made a terrible decision to go to the Big Ten competition-wise and culturally. All about money there.
