And LaVoy Allen of Temple. Allen may still be playing in the NBA.
Sadly Sanders succumbed to mental illness. An informative read a couple months ago in ESPN. Made a brief come back but short lived. I think he is doing well. Enough that he was willing to share his soujourn for the benefit of others as painful as it was.

DL was DL. He wasn’t going to pick n pop and his overall O skills lacked. Just not intuitive. But he had a good IQ, broad shoulders and was willing and able to do the dirty work. His O improved each year as his confidence grew some.
I watched Lowe some at UD after he left. I expected much more. He too wasnt an offensive savant. But I didn’t see much progress or at least what I anticipated.

RE: Is it Kaosi time?
Is Western looking at any other centers to possibly recruit for this year now that Kaosi has decided to play elsewhere?

At this date I suspect Bronco 2018 recruiting is complete.
Exciting class of WMU recruits.

As ESS posted earlier It looks like small ball is WMU’s future.

Will need to keep fingers crossed for health of "bigs".

Absolutely no depth.

But “the game has changed” and you don’t really need low post play on either end of the floor?

Hmmmm....look at the last several national Champions. Did they have a center? If not, I bet they had 1-2 NBA caliber shooting guards/ stretch forwards.

Dangerous to play the college game without a center.

Agree. If for no other reason, a solid big man helps stretch the floor.

Still (sometimes) gotta guard the other team's low post threat, and (always) get defensive rebounds :)

Particularly if you going to run everyone down and through there at any given time.

Everyone has to defend that spot.

I'll take consistent three point shooters. Look at how Buffalo made it's run. They are wide bodies who can shoot. Made taller teams look like plow horses.

Consistent is the operative term here. At best fleeting if you defend properly.

What made Buffalo “go” was their ability to beat you off the bounce and take it to the rim. Being forced to help you find the open spot up shooter.

Without Seth Western was not a real threat inside. The plan should be to go at Perkins inside making him defend. It is not his strong suit and should result in foul trouble. Smart was simply a sacrificial lamb to consume minutes and some fouls.

You can have both inside and outside. It isn’t mutually exclusive.

It's Lavoy. The V isn't capitalized. He isn't in the NBA. He's playing for the Suns' G League team with former Temple F Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson.
