Magic number?
Some of you mathematically astute sorts out there want to figure out what our magic numbers are against the bottom feeders to guarantee making the baseball tournament. (Slow time of the year.)

RE: Magic number?
With seven games left, they just need to win one game to guarantee a spot in the tournament. If they won today and lost the rest, the worst they could finish is 14-15 (.483). The best A-State can finish is 14-16 (.467) and App's best finish would be 13-17 (.433).

This doesn't take into account potential rainouts.

Actually, with today's results, it would be impossible for either App State or Georgia State to catch us. So we are in the tournament, but I think this squad is shooting for a lot more than just being in the tournament field!

I want to win the division with room to spare.

You guys should also be good to avoid the Play in Round of the tournament after this weekend. UTA got swept by App, so they've fallen off considerably.

Winning the Division is going to require out playing ULL over the last two weeks, which is far more complicated.

RE: Magic number?
The killer for us is having to play 3 at Coastal. Of course you can never predict what will happen when LR and ASU get together. We will likely be playing for 1st and ASU will be playing to make the tournament.
