Eagles win 6-0 in front of 463.

Sandlin didn’t have his best stuff at all and still throws another complete game shutout. Amazing.

Berry says Sandlin was fighting a blister all game. Some people on the other boards speculated that may have been the case. Berry said he adjusted by about the 5th inning (and most of his Ks came after that).

Started to say he looked like he had a blister, but thought to myself if he had a blister it wouldn't have gotten any better throughout the game. That is unbelievable.

RE: Baseball at UAB
Maddux Jr. does it again.....his ability to change speeds and locate pitches is nothing shy of spectacular....

ERA is now 0.88.....just wow...

his OBA is ~.140....that's freaking incredible

38 hits and 10 walks in 72 innings.....that's insane

these are crazy numbers he's putting up this year.....

his location is MLB every day with every pitch in his arsenal.......

there's certain guys you simply want to watch pitch every time they take the mound......he's one of them....

yep, the big boys are licking their chops right now.....it would be too awesome if the Cards drafted him

He is the best I have seen here at USM ever, and most likely is the second best in the nation behind Mize at Auburn.

Why not DH Fred? The catchers had some bad at bats yesterday.

I still don't understand why FF isn't leading off, Monte in the 2, and Guidry at the 6....

FF's OBS is now only .009 behind Monte's and he doesn't get caught stealing and would minimize the DP chances....

and there you have it......Reynolds strikes out and Monte gets caught stealing after the hit and run attempt.....that would be another benefit....the H&R aspect.....

I'd DH Irby and move Wallner to RF with FF in CF....

it's a dayum head scratcher....

RE: Baseball at UAB
so what does he do with Donaldson to lead off the 3rd.....attempted bunt on pitch #1....

really bald-berry???? Donaldson has as much of a chance bunting for a hit as I do running a 4 min. mile....

just wow....

got a bit of a pitching duel.....0-0 thru 2.5....

their guy is on today.....Stevie's looking good so far as well....

UAB has bases loaded no outs.

The trainer, Ostrander, and Berry coming to look at Powers. They’re taking him out. Driver in.

I feel like we’ve had a ton of injury scares on the mound these past few years.
