Is the tide turning against abortions?
Quote:SC Senate votes to outlaw virtually all abortions in South Carolina

I've long said that access to abortions should be an issue decided upon by each state.

And for you leftist abortion-on-demand-regardless-of-circumstances loons out there, here's something to think about. Had the US not had such a lax abortion policy over the last 45 years, there's a very good chance Hillary Clinton would be president today.

This is true.

Babies that were killed in 1973 would now be 44/45.

All babies that were killed between 1973 and 2017 (and Jan-Apr of 2018) would be eligible to vote.

Stats show the majority of abortions are obtained by women who claim to be Democratic.

Other stats show that children tend to vote similar to their parents.

Over 55 million babies have been killed since the legalization of abortion-on-demand in 1973.

That could be a few million extra Dem votes out in society at large.

60 million plus abortions in 45 years according to the stats I looked at. Blacks fives times as likely to have an abortion as whites, hispanics twice as likely.

Plus, how many of those aborted would have had children who would be of voting age by now? The numbers are staggering.

I thought it was at least 60M.

And you're right about abortion targeting blacks. That was one of Margaret Sanger's and the Eugenics movement's goals.

And excellent point about the children people who would not have been killed.

RE: Is the tide turning against abortions?
From a 2015 article.

Quote:In order to calculate the number of ghost abortions, Voris and his team looked at the number of female babies aborted who would have had their first child by now. Statistically, women in the United States have their first child by age 25. That means that female babies aborted between 1973 and 1990, on average, would have at least one child by 2015, had they lived.

How many female babies were aborted between 1973 and 1990? A shocking 12,700,000. The children of these nearly 13 million women were never conceived, but if not for abortion they would be part of the total population of the United States, and thus can be counted as missing. As Voris describes the scenario: “These are…people who can never be considered because their mothers were not allowed to be born.” Nonetheless, Voris argues, in looking at the total effects of abortion, these missing members of the population must be considered.

Consequently, the total number of Americans who are missing due to abortion is not 58 million, but rather 70 million.

Planned parenthood really gins things up in the big cities.

Abortion is deplorable, but agree it's not possible to make illegal unless you punish the mother and that's not going to happen. Talk about overcrowding the prison system, besides, no lawmaker is going to vote for that.

Eh, you never know.

The mother is punished in the case that she doesn't get an abortion but instead tries to flush the newborn baby down the toilet.

Iowa is weird. They were one of 4 or 5 states who approved gay marriage (not had it imposed by a state or federal court). Now they are severely restricting abortion.

Can’t outlaw it. Churches should get involved and actually “pay” to keep the child alive. I just don’t understand an US citizen having to adopt a Russian child. I just don’t understand the wait for adoption. Churches are equipped and should be an advocate for being the United States orphanage. We should be paying women to carry children to term!

But who'd want to live through that 80 years? Hard to imagine a more dreadful time.

Forget about the votes. Think about the economic growth that never was.

Also consider the lost tax revenue. No way Social Security is in the hole it's in if we had another 50 million taxpayers supporting the Baby Boomers over the next 30 years.

Some might call that paradise. No one to enjoy it but they aren't to bright. We'd be better off without their presence and influence now.

Makes sense to me. Nobody dies when same sex couples marry, plus they can't all procreate, so they'll need babies to adopt.
