An authorization of this magnitude would not be done lightly and I would imagine be very cognizant of violating any ACP. As with the raid, the likely use more than one team to gather information and then they separate out any of the privileged stuff and the prosecutors then never see it.

I don't see any way they had any cause to tap the WH phones, so they likely tapped Cohen's phones...so they would have picked up any calls he placed to the WH.
