RE: RIP Dan
ChipDip would want this forum to embrace the return of DesertBronco.

As others have said, none of us agreed with Dip on EVERYTHING. And that is a perfect example of one of Dip's positions where he was CLEARLY WRONG on.

RE: RIP Dan
In honor of Dan my first post in 2 years, 4 months and 7 days.

The board was far more interesting with Desert Bronco involved.

Wasn't here when Desert Bronco was banned and no idea why he was banned here. Desert Bronco was on the Sports Rag forum and I can't say as I found him offensive there.

A link to DB's posts. Make of it what you will.

RE: RIP Dan
DB was banned multiple times, under multiple user names, and has too many "issues" to describe without profanity. I actually liked him many years ago. Since being banned the guy has stalked me multiple times using Facebook and was extremely hostile. I am always good for interesting banter, and am not big on banning folks. But if anyone in the history of the internet deserved being permanently banned it was DB.

And I don't recall Dip advocating for DB's return. Even if he had that wouldn't be a basis in my opinion.

Thanks!

Every forum is different with it's own culture. One forum I belong to would consider his responses child's play, yet another one would have blown a gasket and given him a lifetime ban. Still taking baby steps to find my way here.

Some posters can give it, but not take it.

Insecurity issues perhaps.

RE: RIP Dan
Hey Fellas, for what it is worth, this thread is commemorating Chipdip/Dan. It is kinda sad to see it accidentally hijacked with debate on the virtues & vices of Desert Bronco (DB).

Please note there is a thread in the "Horse Sh****" category regarding DB.

I admit I have been guilty of accidentally hijacking some threads in the past. It is not hard to do without even realizing it. However, if possible, let's leave this thread to a great Bronco fan and witty poster who is no longer with us.

Thanks so much!

Go Broncos!

The 2 were kindred spirits. Hung out post ban at their very own website. Clearly relevant.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your fellow fan and poster here. We never know what people are going through. I always got a kick out of his posts. Condolences to Bronco Nation.

Thank you!

Dan was a great man, a great Bronco, and a strong supporter of all MAC schools except the shabby one in Mount Pleasant.

RE: RIP Dan
Dan/ChipDip loved WMU and the Broncos.

But he did not do so blindly (and yes I know the irony of that statement).

He was not loath to criticize when he felt it justified.

And his judgment was usually spot on, because he cared so much and paid attention so much.
