I hope at least one Huskie sticks on a team. Looks doubtful though.

why? they just signed, you don't know how camp will go, what they will show, what their desire may or may not be. They haven't even had a mini-camp yet.

"looks doubtful though" just further proof of the eeyore complex this board has.

I'll be very interested to see about Huff. He has the size and running ability, the only question is the other stuff - preparation, etc.

Undrafted guys typically have a very tough times making teams.

That varies greatly from team to team. The Seahawks and Raiders had 20 udfa's on their 53 man roster. There's also more UDFAs than first round picks playing in the NFL. Remember, the draft used to be 20 rounds or something like that.

Even if you want to look at a team that has 20 undrafted guys, it’s not over the course of one year. On average that’s what? Less than 2 undrafted guys making those teams after each draft.

So my statement of undrafted guys typically have a tough time making a team, still rings true.

Your statement rings true for 1 player. They have maybe 10% chance. But he said any 1 of 6. 6 players each having a 10% chance gives 1 player succeeding a 47% chance. So almost 50/50 one NIU player of the six makes a team. Thats not too bad.

Ok once again, I’d say my statement of undrafted guys typically have a tough time making a team rings true.

I know people like to argue non-sense on this board, but this is bad even by this forums standards.

Your statement is true, but just kinda simple and obvious. Everyone on the board knows making an NFL roster is difficult for almost any player outside of the drafted ones in the first few rounds. What many people don't realize is the number of udfa's teams do sign every year. Not to mention the practice squad. That's another 6 players signed who get a chance. Add that to your %10 and factor it by 6.

You can stick to your theory - it's hard to make the NFL -, but there's still a decent chance one of these Huskies gets a shot.

Besides whats wrong with thinking one of the Huskies has a chance to stick. It is not impossible. Plus I do not have to recall my Statistics class to determine the probability. Just thinking one has a chance is good enough for me!

You are correct. I keep having this vision of me winning the big lottery and having a team of cheerleaders jumping on my bed. Of course, that probably won't happen but just that there's a chance is enough to keep the mental images flowing through my head. Unfortunately, if it were ever to come true, I would probably keel over with a grabber just before I cash in the lottery ticket or get to my bed. 03-weeping

I am not a statistician however, If you win the lottery the probability of a team of cheerleaders jumping on your bed, increases significantly. 03-lmfao

Hasn't been mentioned yet, but there are two undrafted Huskies currently having solid pro careers: TommyLee Lewis and Rashaan Melvin. Plus I believe Tim Semisch just signed a two-year deal with the Titans. It happens.

I think these two posts might be in reference to me.

I said it was doubtful, somehow that gets turned into “impossible”.

Yep, but in a good way, Pride. You got an interesting discussion going--thanks. I agree with you that it's very tough for undrafted players to make it in the pros. Just offering a couple success stories close to home. 04-cheers

Absolutely. It’s great news anytime Huskies can stick in the NFL.
