UEFA Champions League on TNT
From Awful Announcing

UCL will be on TNT this year and fortunately, UEFA has altered some of the time slots so that more games can be shown.

I'm interested to see what their coverage looks like.

Starts August 15th.

RE: UEFA Champions League on TNT
Turner Sports is using this as an experiment to see what fans are willing to pay for and how much.

If you follow a team that's in Europa League, or gets dropped into Europa League after the UCL group stage, subscription and pay-per-view are the only ways to watch until the final. In UCL, they don't say which group stage matches will be on TNT, but one suspects that at least some of the most popular teams' matches will be only on BR Live, in order to drive up subscriptions. I'd expect them to put at least two group stage matches (out of six) from each of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man U, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich on BR Live, in addition to most group stage matches that don't include any "name" teams.

Well, I can say this for certain. I'm not subscribing to any of them.

The article above portrays it as a bargain, but I think either option is way too much to pay for a single tournament. That's especially true when most of the matches will take place during working hours.

I subscribe to ESPN+ so I can watch MLS mostly, but it's cheap and convenient. When the season is over, I may keep subscribing if there's some good football and basketball on.
