What a weekend to play at Rice!! After the FAU fiasco, and the Wayne Graham 'not being extended' news, I'm sure they will be fired up this weekend to "win one for the Gipper."

Sandlin backing up his Preseason Pitcher of the Yaer accolade. Complete game 3 hit shutout with 10 K, 2 BB and 103 pitches. USM wins 2-0. He had a 1.17 ERA coming into tonight.

#11 USM beats ODU 2-0. Sandlin with a complete game, 10k shutout. Eagles improve to 30-11 and 14-4 in conference.

In 2 appearances since his return from injury Sandlin has thrown 14 scoreless innings going 2-0 with 22 K and 2 BB which brings his season totals to 6-0 with 97 K and 8 BB.

Our pitching is totally kicking us out of this game. We can't help ourselves. The Raiders now have 10 runs off 9 hits at the end of 5.

he's something else.....that cat tosses whiffle ball combined with 93 mph fastball that also moves....

oh yeah, he paints all 4 corners that are ~70% strikes

he's as fun as it gets to watch on the mound....
