Bearden declares early for NBA draft
After the threads about the other teams in the conference who had guys declare for the draft I figured I would start this one.
WKU PG Lamonte Bearden declared for the draft yesterday. He has not signed with an agent yet however which is the smart move. I don't think he has a chance at getting drafted this season. So this is most likely for evaluation purposes. Maybe if he comes back as a senior and shows a little more consistency he could be a later pick.
That said he told a lot of people before last season began that he was only going to be at WKU for one season and then he was going pro.

NBA personnel is going to tell him to go back to WKU and get better at decision making.....Maybe he will listen to them.

RE: Bearden declares early for NBA draft
Interestingly, Rice has a player listed on the early entry list in Marquez Letcher-Ellis. But he transferred to Nevada a year ago. Apparently he's not going to play at Nevada after all. I doubt he gets drafted but he'll likely end up playing overseas somewhere. I can only remember one other time Rice had someone declare early for the NBA draft. Morris Almond did after his junior year but he didn't sign with an agent and ended up returning for his senior year (and he ended up getting drafted after his senior year in the 2nd round).
