It is kind of funny to look at.

But it has no meaning. Just a good photoshop.
Has to have some ‘truth’ to be funny.

I guess its saying Melania is really in charge.

I still think it's a humorous image regardless of its meaning or lack thereof.

Honest question.

I see the R won by 5. At least that is what I read. What is the Cook County rating on the District? I'll also look. We need Lazy Brook Tom in here to give the inside numbers. For all the crap you guys give the guy those reads are especially interesting.

Found this. Cook has it rated Likely Republican. If I can find the + score the district is rated at that would be helpful.

Ok when you click on that link and then click on Az 8 it says R +13. So the D's are running 8 points ahead of Cook. We need Tom to tell us what the models say with D's over performing by 8. I would think that's a wave bordering tsunami. Maybe I am wrong. Be the first time on here but I guess it's possible??????

Five points is a landslide. Not even close. And you only need to win by one vote.

Here's a 2017 chart of every district in the US. This is a keeper.

Stanley my dear dear friend.

5 IS NOT a landslid in a district with a +13 rating. You are so much smarter than this. Come now. tsk tsk.

I ran campaigns when I was younger. Five is so comfortable you can call it a landslide and shut down the victory party early. A five point victory might have even gotten me a little bonus if the race was seen as competitive (as this one was.)

It's irrelevant what the past election said. All that matters is this election. The voters have spoken, and they choose Debbie Lesko by a fair amount.

This is sort of like celebrating a trump 50% approval rating.

Guys, trump won this area by like 21. The Dem was never expected to win here. Yet, she did not lose by much. If you think this one win means the GOP is not in danger of losing the house in November you're delusional.

Then why is one Dem victory portending a "blue wave?"

If the Dem would have won by even 1 vote, it would have been a "sign of the impending blue wave." The GOPer wins by 5%, and it's a Dem victory. There was no way this was going to be spun as anything other than a "sign of the impending blue wave" The outcome was unimportant.
