As a die hard Alabama football fan who was born and raised 5 minutes from the University of Alabama, l just have be fair. UCF isn't doing anything different than what Alabama has done a few times in previous years. Even with UCF not being the official national champions, they do make a better case of self proclaiming themselves as national champions than at least 2 of Alabama's self claimed championships. They did beat the team (Auburn) that lost to, and they did go undefeated. Are they the national champions? No!! Alabama Crimson Tide is the national champions. But if Alabama wants to cherry pick championships from the past, so can UCF. And to be perfectly honest, l have Alabama with 15 national championships; not 17. And l need ALL Alabama fans to be fair, stop lying and stop being greedy. You can't knock UCF for the same crime that we have committed. Roll Tide Roll!!!

No!! Alabama won the College Football Playoff which is not sanctioned by the NCAA as the means to name a National Champion in the Football Bowl Division.

Exactly...and not all voters even voted Alabama at #1. The only other receiving votes was ucf. Cfp isn't part of the NCAA which is why we can run around declaring ourselves national champs like so many others have in the past. Alabama is the worst about claiming titles. Ranked #20 as "national champs"....lol. I think the local newspaper had them #1 so they went with it...lol.

And the playoff finished us at #6...lol

I have to admit that should Memphis ever wind up in that situation in any sport, I hope we do the same exact thing. Really loving watching you guys stick it to the P5.

One of the funniest parts about all of this is that they have themselves have contributed to this remaining in the news.

And what is more is that the only thing they can do to shut us up - play us in a home and home - will never happen.

I have taunted them online incessently the past few months that the only way they can shut us up is to play and beat us - twice. Once up there and once down here.

Since they won't I continue to needle them. So far, I have received multiple death threats. Which I find pretty damn funny.

Brett left out part of his quote about respecting the system. We don't respect the system. Obviously Alabama does, because the system for the last 10 years has given Alabama a chance to compete EVERY time there's several 1-loss teams in the mix. It's easy to respect the system when it's your system.
