Adidas is cooking up something new for ECU

The video is pretty slick.

The ideas behind what they are planning to do are slick.

And if you stare real hard you might see 2018-19 uniform concepts in the background.

I like it.

This plus the renovated stadium will at least make us look the P6 part.

This comment is not throwing off on the new designs. I love it. I really, really do. My question is why is the new ECU Adidas Pirate Brand Pattern Guidelines copyrighted 2016?

Getting some original designs from Adidas is more like what was promised back in 2015.

I really dislike the glossy purple helmets. ECU should at least make it matte.

It’s cool when he explains all the meaning and stuff. But honestly if I just saw an hourglass logo on a hat, I would have no idea that it’s ECU related. Not a fan of the signal flags either.

These are really cool, especially with the symbology and ties to Blackbeard in Bath and Beaufort. I'm not concerned with anyone outside ECU circles not knowing what the symbols mean or their significance.

These symbols are definitely for our fanbase, not outsiders. Not expecting cowboys in the southwest to understand 18th century maritime semiotics of coastal North Carolina.

I don't know if I would trust Adidas. They dressed us in some goofy stuff over the years.

But on second thought, that goofy stuff was for basketball. Does ECU have a basketball team?

Yeah but they will figure out eventually and I think it makes it even better. This is what I was thinking we would get when we signed the adidas elite 11 deal.

Video of "some" of the football looks...

I'm feeling that JR on the sleeve of the white ones.

I kind of dig the subtlety of the JR on the sleeve of the purple one.

I think it's fun. Then again, i'm a professional mariner and grew up on the NC coast. YMMV.
