I am thinking 6-6 and the article doesn't reflect the 7 juco and grad transfers we got.

Optimistic: 8 wins. Pessimistic: 6 wins. Season prediction games: UNT (1st game, away) and Navy (4th game, at home). These will tell us where we are with new system and new coaches (better staff). Defensive improvement imperative. Maybe we can make Navy punt this year? Long time losing streaks to get past: TCU, Navy and Memphis all in Dallas.

What offense are they running, Sonny's or Rhett's? If Sonny, it's going to take a few years. I feel like he's always had a tough time adapting his scheme to fit players, even if the cupboard isn't bare. If Rhett, that would basically be plug and play off of Morris' offense so that might not be too bad. Either way, I think you've got a pretty good staff and I look forward to seeing what they're able to do.

We punted last year against you -- twice! Add in one from '15 and we average one punt per AAC SMU game.

Mostly Rhett's offense this year (easier transition as pointed out above) with a little Air Raid thrown in. Spring game was pretty vanilla, so lotta learning over summer and more info in fall camp.
