I do not believe Sean Frazier has any problem firing Monty or any coach. I believe Frazier will do what’s best for NIU’s athletic future but certainly we can all agree that he has to take into account NIU’s finances and resources. That all being said, I believe a under 500 MAC or no postseason tournament appearance will get Monty fired this coming year. I also believe he will achieve both those things! I also completely understand why no one else would believe that he will.

This years top four MAC teams: Buffalo made 329 of 887 for a 3pt% of .371%, TOLEDO made 327 of 815 for a 3pt% of .401%, EMU made 234 of 698 for a 3pt% of .335 and Ball St made 245 of 727 for a 3pt% of .337%. These were the only MAC teams to finish above 500 in MAC games

I agree with this completely. Frazier wants to win bad and finances was key in the decision to make no changes. I am hoping they put everything together and make a nice run. Looking forward to the schedule announcements.

That’s a kid who you can tell is excited about being a Huskie hopefully that continues for him over the next couple of years. Sounds like Monty and gang may have misled him on the schedule and certainly on how many NCAA tournament bid the MAC gets(lol). I believe unless someone else leaves the roster is set as far as scholarship players. I personally still believe they lack size. Jaylen Key and Lacey James are small centers even for the MAC need at least on 6’10 or bigger guy. Buffalo is a lock to win another MACC

I won’t be surprised if Huskies play Michigan St, Butler and Georgia Tech but there hasn’t been a decent home game in forever

Mateen seems like a nice kid, good luck to him.

If we get German back with these additions, I like the talent level for this upcoming season. If German bails for the NBA..... Travis looks ready to run the show. True point guard that can score.

German is not going to be in the NBA! He could leave for the D or overseas or transfer and sit but he’s not playing in the NBA 2018-19. As of today German will be back but someone is likely leaving. You can only have 13 guys on schollys and this would be 14

Who would be on the roster without being on scholarship? There are 3 guys that don’t have a scholarship on the team but they will only play in the last minute of a blowout. German, Daow, Thorpe, Bradley, Key, James, McCarty, Tommy, Rod Henry Hayes all have scholarships. New guys: Lee, Richie, Mateen, Travis these guys all are scholarship players. So that would be your 13 scholarship players. Very good roster except fo a real big man. Key, James and McCarty are undersized for center even in The MAC.
