I can't believe it's that time of year again. I missed the first four, but today we start catching up, and it's not an auspicious start for C-USA. Coming in at 129 is UTEP. Uncle Matt obviously does not see any improvement for the Miners over last year. At 128 is Texas State. Welcome aboard, Sun Belt. Our second C-USA team into the mix at a heady 127 is Rice, as the Owls are expected to struggle again this year. Just for something different, the MAC joins the early entrants with Kent State in at 126. So this is what we have for now.

126. Kent State
127. Rice
128. Texas State
129. UTEP

I'm going to hold off on conference projections for a while, but I will be trying to give my daily updates as Uncle Matt shares his gridiron genius. Hmm -- two of the bottom four. Oh well.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Rice will be better than 127/129 now that doughnut lover is no longer coaching (heard he's now running some kind of eatery, though...who knew?)

Last year Charlotte was 126. So progress! Recently we have found ways to disappoint even our pessimistic fans. Based on our Spring Game we think perhaps this year we might win at least two games. Go Niners!

WOW.... you are right AGGIE. The pre-football season has crepted up on me as well. I feel like you and Uncle Matt our connected at the hip. It would not feel right if you didn't post the countdown, Thanks again AGGIE, and hope the Monarchs are not seen for a long time.

This kind of perception is the whole problem with our conference

I thought there were 130 FBS teams. I know Idaho dropped down but I thought Liberty was going to be FBS this year so they would cancel each other out.

He’s running a donut saingwich shop with an egg between 2 slices of glazed.

The good thing about Charlotte is if we do suck as bad the OS says, it will be Lambert's final season and we finally have a competent AD in place to make the next hire. Anything less than a bowl game is unacceptable.

No love for C-USA. I guess when C-USA finishes with 10 bowl eligible teams, they have to label the other 4 members as flat out horrible. Here is the link.
