I think you'll see FAU in the 28-35 range and UNT, LaTech, and Marshall in the 40-50 range and UAB between 50-55.

Well, the only logical question to ask at this point is which team are we sending to a NY6 Bowl?

Think at least 3 of CUSA brethren appear in the next 5 picks. Love to see at least three of us hang on and end up in the top 40. Of course, it's the poll at the end that really counts; but we have to start higher than we have in past years just to be noticed.

I believe LA Tech was our highest ranked team last year at around 60, so perception is improving. At the end of the day, all these types of ranking really represent is how some in the sports media perceive the strength of our teams, and most of it is based on what we did the year before.

If we want to continue to improve our perception, we need to keep winning and win more OOC games.

Even though I don't put a lot of stock in this particular countdown (though it's fun as one of very few dailies in the offseason) improving perception only helps with recruiting, casual fans, tix sales... as the media controls the message.

Nope. That last list is not part of the equation used to calculate the projected rankings. The "5" there was just me forgetting to make the change. I'll fix it. Thanks, Joe.

Looks like the AAC might be in trouble repeating as Uncle Matt's G5 coveted national champion of preseason polls this year. 03-wink

So, C-USA is slated to have at least 5 top 60 teams in this ranking. That did not appear likely just a month ago.

Not to shred your sail but I personally think alluding to this one writer as "perception" is an overreach, but enjoy. This ranking certainly has gone where no one has dared before with most of the G5 so I'm good with it ....but????

I dont

I agree. No team is dominant including FAU.

In years past I would say yes, WKU was much better than most of CUSA.
