OT: 21-pitch at-bat
Yesterday, San Francisco Giants first baseman (and former UT Longhorn) Brandon Belt had a 21-pitch at-bat against Los Angeles Angels starter Jaime Barria:

It lasted 13 minutes, ending in a fly out. Apparently it's the longest at-bat in MLB since pitches started being recorded in 1988.
Everyone is heaping praise upon the batter, but how about the pitcher? He officially threw 18 out of 21 pitches for strikes -- pretty good for a Major League rookie!

Good thing this didn't happen in a rec league or CUSA league game; they might have walked off the field in the middle of the AB.

Indeed!
The pitcher threw 17 strikes that the batter couldn't put in play.
It took the batter 18 strikes before he could put one in play, and then it was an out!
