Looks OK, but still will only seat 21,000. Not much for a 65 million investment. If any future Glass Bowl expansions is considered,
I like Akron’s away side upper deck with concessions/bathrooms underneath. I think it seats 10,000 and with enhanced lighting would be a perfect east deck replacements for the GB. Capacity would be 30,000+ with a possible additional 5,000 seats in the south end zone/concourse.
Glass Bowl expanded to 35,000 with a few more bells and whistles could be done for far less than what ODU is doing. Selling out 26,000 seats can justify this.

I wonder how Akron's newest stadium compares to this upcoming ODU project? UT definitely needs a new sound system if nothing else for now.

Akron has a real nice stadium, seats 30,000+, and it cost less than what ODU is trying to do. Granted, construction costs have gone up since then. IMO, infocision was built too large for what fan support Akron draws these last few years.
The GB has a fairly new sound system and it is LOUD. What UT needs, is upgraded lighting behind the east upper deck. Hopefully other cosmetic improvements/expansion comes later.

I would take upgrades to sound, lighting and concessions (or even removal of benches for individual seats) above any expansion of seating in the Glass Bowl. Until games are consistently sold out I simply do not see the need or value for more seats.
