As you will notice when you scroll down and see his stats, 179 out of his 224 field goal attempts were three point field goal attempts, and he averaged 45%. That was against junior college opponents. His assist to turnover ratio was good. Anyway, I just thought it was kind of rare that any player shot so many threes and so few layups or 2 point shots. Take a look see at his statistics. It’s becoming less and less rare, even in the nba certain guys average a ton of 3’s.(JJ Reddick shoots more 3’s than 2’s). One of our biggest weaknesses was three point shooting at times. Adding some guys who can catch and shoot around Bryant is only going to make us better.

We haven't had what I'd consider a good three point shooter since Jamarr Sanders. He had 90 three's in 10-11 and no one has broken 70 since.

Yeah it’s been quite a while. We’ve had spurts here and there from some guys, but not that elite shooter most teams seem to have these days.

According to sports-reference.com, Jamarr's 90 threes were the fifth most in a season for a Blazer. For some perspective, Darling just had the twentieth most threes in a season with 60.

Yep. One spot left.

Do you have a recruit summary on your site (players signed so far, position, size etc.)?

Join us in welcoming sharp-shooter Nolan Bertain to the family! Nolan averaged 14.3 ppg and shot 45.3 percent from long range last year at Casper JC.

+1

Jamarr is a legend, boy Davis could recruit.

My gripe about darling wasn't his lack of athleticism, but the lack of shots for whatever reason. He should've got a few more shots up, probably why he transfer saw mins and shots decrease coming.

That and the sideburns.

He might have been the streakiest player I’ve seen at UAB. When he was hot he could shoot from anywhere in the half court. When he wasn’t, it was awful. He was before Sanders though, right?
