My question is, is he a walk on? Because it was never reported that he was on an official visit. Just that he was visiting. Someone else pointed out to me that Verbal Commits doesn’t have walk on Hunter Reynolds listed on roster anymore.

After receiving an offer from UAB, Bertain received an offer from WKU and interest from a host of schools (Idaho, Ohio, BYU, Wright State, & Milwaukee). Bertain was likely to receive more offers before the end of the Spring signing period.

This is a good pickup for UAB in my opinion. I felt like we needed more 3 pt shooting & scoring off the bench. I like that he will only be a Sophomore with 3 years left to play.

There was mention of an official visit on Twitter last week. Another good commit.

Good pickup. If he can continue to shoot at 45% at the next level, then I hope Ehsan gets him 10+ shots a game.

Here is a link to Nolan Bertain's season statistics at Casper College. As you will notice when you scroll down and see his stats, 179 out of his 224 field goal attempts were three point field goal attempts, and he averaged 45%. That was against junior college opponents. His assist to turnover ratio was good. Anyway, I just thought it was kind of rare that any player shot so many threes and so few layups or 2 point shots. Take a look see at his statistics. Now I have to glance at Andy Kennedy's stats. I would imagine he should have quite a number of 3 pt shots.

It’s becoming less and less rare, even in the nba certain guys average a ton of 3’s.(JJ Reddick shoots more 3’s than 2’s). One of our biggest weaknesses was three point shooting at times. Adding some guys who can catch and shoot around Bryant is only going to make us better.
