Rice vs FAU
FAU hits a double to take the lead in the top of the 9th. Wayne Graham said it was foul and the umpires agreed and took the run off the score board. Sounds familiar

RE: Rice vs FAU
This is insane! FAU walks off the field because they're about to lose. They have the travel curfew at 4:15, so that d-bag coach literally told his team to walk off the field and settle for the tie. It was 6-6 in the bottom of the ninth and Rice had runner on 1st and 2nd no outs. So FAU quits. Wow. I guess there is still a tie for first place. Bush. League.

That's amazing.

You can't beat C-USA baseball.

I’ve been watching gametracker for 15 minutes with no change wondering wtf happened. Tried to find Rice and FAU radio with no luck. Sounds like po sportsmanship.

There is a tie but since we won 2/3 vs FAU we own the tiebreaker and are technically in 1st

RE: Rice vs FAU
Reading on the Rice board and in last week’s tie for them at MTSU the curfew was 4:30. The final inning started at 4:27 and the final inning was played out completely so interested to see how/why the rule was different today.

No, there is not a tie for first. USM sits there alone by percentage points as a tie counts as a half win-half loss.

coupled with the asinine rule itself, the start time is equally an issue.....

knowing there is only 3 hrs and 15 mins. to get a game in with that rule in place is simply retarded in scope.....

what a joke....

If this regulation hasn't been changed since the 2015-2016 C-USA Handbook, I'm not sure a 1:00 PM game time was in compliance if the FAU flight out of Bush Intercontinental was scheduled at 6:30 PM as mentioned on the Rice radio broadcast. I see direct IAH to MIA flights that departed at 6:20 PM and 6:33 PM tonight.

On the final game of a series, a set time for completion of a game may be established in order for the visiting team to travel home. A shortened game must have finished 4.5 – 5 innings by rule in order to be considered complete. In addition, the last game of the series must have a scheduled start time a minimum of four hours plus necessary time to change and travel to the airport in order for the visiting team to arrive one hour before the scheduled flight. Further, that the visiting team must contact the host institution with travel plans no later than December 1 if those plans will cause a game to be scheduled prior to 1 p.m.
