That seems like a great turnout, although for the first game I imagine tix were pretty easy to come by. The stadium looked great and it looked like the fans were into it. I only saw the 2nd half. I think Logan was sacked several time in the game. The one I saw wasn't his fault. He was preparing to throw and never saw the guy coming from his blind side. Logan wasn't always great, but the long throws he made redeemed him I hope. We know he's very accurate. Still getting his chops back, though. The other team's offense wasn't great, either. Hopefully Logan will do great and work his way back into the NFL. That's where he should be.

Yea odd that CBS Sports went from televising the SuperBowl just last Sunday to minor league football yesterday. Looks like remainder of televised games to end of season in April are on NFL Network or CBS Sports Network, plus B-R Live.

If they're trying to draw viewship to their Sports Network, I think it a good idea to put something on the open air as a hook. They definitely have a financial stake in the league.

Woodside: he did get one first down on a run, so I think his speed will be servicable.

Weiss started at RT for Arizona and has looked really solid thus far, but he went down with an ankle injury late in the 1st half. Didn't show a replay, but it looked like it might have been non-contact. Walked off the field, so hopefully he will be ok.

Didn't watch much of the 2nd half of the Arizona game, but did see Weiss came back in, but then went down again later. Maybe was trying to play through a nagging injury. He really did look very solid in the series' I saw, so hopefully it doesn't hold him back too much.

Woodside shows well in San Antonio Commanders debut, but competition remains

Such insightful quotes from Woodside, including "Here we go" and "That’s what I’m talking about."

So far Woodside is doing ok for San Antonio today. His receivers keep dropping the ball. I’m watching it’s delayed. One of the Orlando players collided with his own men and was taken off on a stretcher with possible neck njury .Hoping he is ok

RE: Rockets in the NFL/CFL/AFL: 2018
San Antonio loses late after leading most of the game, with the back breaker being a pick-6 thrown by Woodside. I thought Woodside had a pretty bad game. He made some good throws here and there, but he made a ton of poor throws too. He was consistently under-throwing the downfield throws. Could have had a couple TDs if he put the balls out where the WRs could go get them. And then the pick-6 was just a terrible read. He shows flashes at times, but he has a long way to go to make his way back to the NFL, I think. It doesn't help that his WRs seem to have a hard time creating any separation with the DBs.

He was 20-39, 223, 1 TD, 1 2PT, 1 INT

Jayrone Elliott made a couple big plays, including a strip sack and forced fumble that was recovered for a defensive TD. But he seems to disappear for large swaths of the game too.

But on the other hand. There were too many drops.

Logan threw 4 perfect passes for drops in the first half
He should have been 11/12 in the first half with a TD pass. In the second half he lost composure but his WRs got zero separation from the Orlando Dbs. Their QB couldn't miss with guys 5 yards from the corners.

41 did a terrible job. You tell he was really fast. Because every time he got beat, “ which was quite often” he would catch to receivers from behind.

Jayrone out rated every D player in the league by pro football focus at a 91.4 rating. He had a 3rd down redzone tackle for loss, 3 QB rushes and a strip sack. He doesn't even play every down.

Real talent that can't stay on a NFL roster or even practice squad, and look at some of the rushing and passing stats, ugly very ugly. QB and OL play is very poor across the league-hence its role to develop better players. Its the AAA of the NFL-not that's there anything wrong with that, but is a development league, nothing more or less.

There's no real talent in AAA? The best player in AAA is the last guy cut from the worst MLB team???

Imo It's real talent that never got a second look because of physical stature or the school they went to. Also guys looking for second chances because of a mistake they made...

Jayrone and many other players in this league have been impact players in the NFL. They just need a better fit to show off their skill set. This league will do that. You'll see guys in 2019 playing because of the AAF.
