We recently had a discussion related to this subject after our starting right tackle grad-transferred to Auburn. Something along the lines of "do more kids get drafted because they went to P5 schools, or are P5 schools just more likely to have NFL level talent?"

I don't know the first thing about talent acquisition for the NFL, but the way UCF played they had to be loaded with NFL-ready talent. Certainly seems to be the former rather than the latter in this case. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He missed his rookie season and started to come on in 2016 before getting injured again in 2017. And Joe Flacco, who has regressed significantly. Let's see where he is after 2018. Now if were to be in Tampa ? A 1000 yard receiver. Jameis Winston can throw for 4000 yards in his sleep. Too bad his defense sucks. (Mark Barron, cough, cough)

It's all part of the P5 bias. Kind of like when a kid commits to an SEC school he magically goes from three stars to four stars.

You asked for a bust and I bestowed one on you. As one of 3 #1 draft picks in UCF history, he's a bust. I wouldn't praise Blake Bortles too much either. Derek Carr, Bridgewater and Jimmy Garropolo might all prove to be better picks rounds later....

So if has a good year in 2018 ? Go back and re-think things, please. A bust is a bust after they get kicked to the curb to another team, get cut, traded, etc... or when they are buried on the depth chart and never play. Injuries don't count.

EDIT: Keith McCants, Eric Curry, Mark Barron, etc... Notice a trend. I am sure we can make an ENTIRE thread for SEC busts. Now the thread for American busts ? That's gonna be a short thread.

3+ a feel good? That's some weak crap alluding that Griffin didn't deserve to be drafted. Conference defensive player of the year, defensive MVP of the Peach Bowl, a motor that never quits running? He will carve out a nice career in the NFL!

Auburn only had four players drafted and they beat Alabama, so no reason to think UCF wouldn't have based on the draft.

UVA had more players drafted than Navy and we whupped them.
