There will be a mezzanine level concourse on both sides with small vendors. Think pretzel/hot dog stands and booze stands. That's what I'm imagining at least. I doubt there will be bathrooms up there, too expensive.

That pic is from Twitter and was provided at a higher resolution. The ones on the ODU website are really low. You can right click the image and open in a new tab then change the 440 in the URL to a much larger number, but the source images are low res so it's just going to be bigger, but not the quality of the Twitter photo.

BOOZE stands? That would get me a little bit more excited!! Haha
The open mezzanine to the field would give it a nice feel.
This is something most football stadiums do not have.
A lot of baseball parks built the last 10-15 years do (Harbor park)
Sucks no special concourse seats or bathrooms on that level.
Maybe next phase??!!

Was happy to read this part:

"The first part of the construction project is designed to accommodate future phases without demolishing any of the new build. The entire stadium, including the seating bowl design, will be configured to allow the building to expand in the future. This layout will allow for a potential future connection to the existing south end zone game day building on the mezzanine concourse level, a connection to a north end zone seating expansion and the addition of a club area and premium spaces."

Can't wait to see all the awesome views of the water on the East side of Hampton.

So we're to expect to use the same crappy scoreboard? Wow...just wow. I like everything about this except the junk scoreboard.

Yeah I don't get the scoreboard thing either. The biggest jumbo tron in CFB is at Auburn (at least it was in 2015) and it cost about 13 million. I imagine we could get a pretty nice one for our stadium for about 10% of that (just a guess). Doesn't seem like something totally out of reach. I also understand I'm not the one paying for this thing either.

Personally, if it was my money, I would use the current one until it fell apart. Focus on other aspects of the stadium where a million or 2 would help. Then again, I barely even look at it.

A few dozen more stories and could see the ocean.

I think a great scoreboard provides the most bang for the buck though. It makes a huge impact on the game day experience. Seems we could have had an awesome scoreboard with a fraction of the money the admin wasted by dragging their feet alone.

Not to mention it makes an impact on the casual fan.

There are a lot of nice looking details with these renderings

When you get to see that rendering bigger you get the sense it's going to be much louder in the stadium, even more so when it's closed in eventually.
