When I lived closer I really enjoyed the BBBBQs. I went to them out near Greenbriar, the ones downtown and the ones behind the Ted. They were always a lot of fun. Good food, beer, friends, music, hob-nobbing with the players and coaches, good speeches to get people psyched for the next year. We always seemed to pic up a few good inside scoops. Sadly, I haven't been in 5 or 6 years since I moved farther away. Back then I would guess there were 200-400 people depending on the weather.

Overheard someone at the doctors office say that they had heard from the next door neighbor of one of the maintenance crew that JJ was recruiting a real go getter in the class of 2025.

True story. I was there when he said it. JJ said he checks all the boxes. Rebounds, defends, runs the floor, misses free throws and complains constantly to the refs.
