I agree, have started to come around on Sam Mitchell. He's an old school, hard-ass coach, but we might need some of that.

And Mitchell wants to be a head coach in college, so he's probably only looking to be here for a couple of years.

Penny said yesterday that while he would prefer college coaching experience in that position - ‘basketball is basketball’ ‘coaching is coaching’

As goofy and nonsensical as Wolo is, he's close to a lot of the big money donors and does have some different sources on that side of things that GP, Martin and others don't have. I believe he's heard it is Sam Mitchell. He was the first and only one I ever heard say Tubby Smith 2 years ago.

I watch Tiger football and basketball on tv and turn down the sound on that broadcast and listen to Dave. There are times he is not accurate on the play or shot. There are times he has a bad game. But it's better than hearing a homer type call on the opponent during a national broadcast.

No joke. I would rather listen to the opposing teams playcaller over Dave. He is so incredibly bad at his job. It is BS that the guy has been rewarded for his mediocrity for so long. He most certainly kisses the right people's butt. Sort of like when he was on the Lapides show. He never missed an opportunity to smooze George.

I will never forget the day before the Tigers played UCLA in the Final Four in 2008; George Lapides along with Wolo stuck to the script of having their golf segment. George defended doing it as well. The biggest freaking game in ages and you do the typical golf segment?
