Las Vegas Invitational
According to Blogging The Bracket's list of next year's early season tournaments, Little Rock will participate in the Las Vegas Invitational next season. Not sure of who we will play other than @ Nevada on November 16th as part of the deal. The Vegas part is November 23-24.

RE: Las Vegas Invitational
I've seen Nevada in some preseason top 10's.

RE: Las Vegas Invitational
This can't be the tournament you are referring to:

Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational

In what may be the best field ever for a pre-season college basketball tournament, the Orleans Arena is the place to be as UCLA, Michigan State, North Carolina, and Texas tip off at the 2018 Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational, November 22-23, 2018.

RE: Las Vegas Invitational
Found the tourney you were referring to:

Las Vegas Holiday Invitational
Nov. 16-19: Campus sites
Nov. 22-23: Las Vegas

Hosts’ Semifinals

Tulsa Golden Hurricane (American) vs. Nevada Wolf Pack (MW)
UMass Minutemen (A 10) vs. Southern Illinois Salukis (MVC)

Visitors Bracket

Cal Baptist Lancers (WAC, transitional)
Little Rock Trojans (Sun Belt)
2 TBA

On-Campus Games
Nov. 16: Little Rock at Nevada
Nov. 19: Cal Baptist at Nevada

Some good teams in this tournament. Wonder if we get a home game. Doesn't look like it, but who knows. Probably will play Tulsa or SIU on the road. They have put this together based on information from various local newspapers. Don't think they know for sure who else in the tournament or all the matchups. Looks like we will be bracketed with Cal Baptist and 2 other low major in Vegas, after the 2 road games. I would like to have a home game, but we probably can't be too picky after an 8-25 season. Hopefully, we get some money and 2 neutral court games in Vegas.

Looks to me that the November 16 date at Nevada is a done deal.

Seems crazy that we will be flying to Nevada twice in a week, depending on where our second game is- probably at Tulsa, SIU, or UMASS. Looking at the set-up, it doesn't look like a home game is the cards, but who knows.

RE: Las Vegas Invitational
PTJR,
I've looked at this "tournament" again. Do you think we even go to Las Vegas? Or do we just get a couple of games out of it and only the 4 "seeded" teams actually travel to Vegas? Hard to imagine we would make two separate trips to the state of Nevada in a week.

Hosts’ Semifinals

Tulsa Golden Hurricane (American) vs. Nevada Wolf Pack (MW) (Chris Murray, Reno Gazette-Journal)
UMass Minutemen (A 10) vs. Southern Illinois Salukis (MVC) (Matt Vautour, Daily Hampshire Gazette, matchup by process of elimination)

Visitors Bracket (presumed based on dates in Murray’s story above)
•Cal Baptist Lancers (WAC, transitional)
• Little Rock Trojans (Sun Belt)
•2 TBA

On-Campus Games

Nov. 16: Little Rock at Nevada (Chris Murray, Reno Gazette-Journal)

Nov. 19: Cal Baptist at Nevada

I have a feeling we will play Cal Baptist at Nevada on the Nov. 18th and not go to Vegas at all.

we were in the "maui invitational" a few years ago if you remember, playing at byu and then hosting two games. utah and jack stephens center are not maui.

If we play a game or two at Nevada, and then host a couple of games that would be fine with me. However, saying we are in the "Las Vegas" Invitational is a joke.
