Israeli intelligence reportedly says Trump's Syria strike failed, didn't take out much of anything......................

The US, UK, and France's missile strike on Syria's suspected chemical weapons sites involved 105 missiles fired from air and sea to rain down thousands of pounds of explosives on three sites across the country— but Israeli intelligence officers reportedly called it a failure. "If President Trump had ordered the strike only to show that the US responded to [Syrian President Bashar] Assad's use of chemical weapons, then that goal has been achieved," a senior defense official told Israel's Ynet News. "But if there was another objective — such as paralyzing the ability to launch chemical weapons or deterring Assad from using it again — it's doubtful any of these objectives have been met."

104 missles.................. I wonder how many of them were the 1.87 million tomahawk variety????????

Do you realize how many homes in Flint could have had their lead water pipes replaced for that kind of jack? We spent a lot of money to hide something. I also saw that Assad has been using chemical weapons for months. Why did Trump decide now is the time for a meaningless attack? What on Earth could the orange haired one try to be distracting us from? Any ideas?

Under democratic leadership? I would say less than one home.

Russia had to be warned to avoid setting off World War III.

This means that you have no choice but to warn the Syrians by default.

This means that they were all able to evacuate and move things.

Everyone knew this. Everyone knows this. It is not news. It is not some major revelation.

I suppose it would have been better if we just blasted a bunch of Russian advisors and security personnel without any warning.

Jeez.

What the raid accomplished is inconvenience for Syrian chemical weapons production.

They will have to move, set up new digs, move workers, reinstall, set up new security arrangements, new housing and infrastructure, new communications, etc.

It also lets them know they will have to do it again if they use them again.

That was the intent. It was accomplished.

It also highlighted that the Russians talked loud about interfering with am attack but didn't do a damn thing.

The primary triggers for this were May and Macron. If anything, they dragged Trump into it, not the other way around.

This was more a British/French response to Russia poisoning that spy in Britain than anything that the Syrians did.

Some of you are so tied up in anti-Trump talking points that you blind yourselves to what actual reality is.

For someone teaching and 3 advance degrees...you have problems understanding what you read. Or maybe just have visions while reading or do you even read the article you linked to? Below came from that article and nothing about ..."At least 16 chemical attacks in Syria since Trump has been President"

Quote:The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic says it has confirmed at least 34 chemical attacks since 2013,

Quote:It is likely that there have been more than these 34 confirmed chemical attacks in Syria. Rolando Gomez, a spokesman for the United Nations Human Rights Council, said that the commission was unable to verify reports of chemical attacks in 2015 because of a lack of access during that time.

Quote:Human Rights Watch has reported that there have been 85 chemical attacks since 2013, based on its analysis of reports verified by various sources, including United Nations investigations and Amnesty International.

And the American ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki R. Haley, accused the Syrian government on Friday of using chemical weapons at least 50 times since 2011
.

Quote:Then, in April 2017, sarin was used again in an attack on Khan Sheikhoun, in northern Syria, that killed more than 80 civilians. Mr. Trump ordered missile strikes on a Syrian air base in response and, since then, “there haven't been reliable or verified reports of the Syrian government again employing sarin gas,” Sam Heller, a senior analyst at the International Crisis Group, said in an email.

Holy Shnitke's WKUYG.

Look at that nice little graph in the article then on the bottom right there is this timeline with these colorful dots connected to said graph. Count the dots in 2017................................

Now I know you can do this. Takes a little critical thinking...............

Providing for the local water supply isn't part of the Federal Government's charge. Providing for the common defense is.

I'm pretty sure Michigan gets a fair amount of federal dollars that they apparently decided to spend elsewhere.

So exactly where is the common defense in bombing Syria......................

Gosh you are bad at this.

I'm a Trumper that voted for "we need to get out of other countries business" Trump.

I don't think this plays that favorably with his "base".

Do you bring this partisan political outrage to your classroom?
Are your students subjected to this one narrow view of the world?
If so you should be terminated.

I'm convinced the Syrian chemical attack was a false flag. It makes no logical sense for assad to gas people when he was on the verge of an overwhelming victory and risk drawing more powerful international enemies into the fray. Hell, Trump was ready to pull out of syria. I'm not saying we did the false flag but another country like Saudi Arabia could have pulled it off. A chemical attack would be counterproductive to assad's interest. Cui Bono?
