Maybe our offense wont score so fast so the defense doesn't have to play 3/4 of the minutes in the game.

Last year, we averaged 45.5 points. I bet we will be lucky to average 30 this upcoming year. Might average more like 25.

I have a feeling that tiger fans will appreciate qbs like paxton lynch and ferguson, because, imho, none of the current qbs are on that level. Yet.

I saw no improvement in david moore. He had a better start than the rest of the qbs, but then he trailed off. His best play was running for about 30-40 yards after being forced out of the pocket. He led the tigers to a TD on his first drive, but one of his passes that continued the drive would not have happened in a real game, because he would have been sacked.

Brady white didn't look any better than moore, but he did have a couple good throws downfield. It seemed like he was 1 for 10 passing to start the game.

Didn't see much of connor adair, but he didn't look that impressive.

Brady davis got heat from norvell after one play. He won't be the qb.

It's hard to tell how good the defense is, but i expect it will be better than last year especially in the secondary.

I could see the tigers with at 4-5 losses next year and not representing the west in the AAC championship game.

Awesome analysis as usual. Amazing how you are able make such expert analysis off 40 snaps in a spring game.

I've seen brady davis and david moore in two spring games and david moore in mop up duty last year fwiw. And that's just my opinion.

Go to the smack forum and see if tigerscane is saying it's like a competition between tom brady and tony montana and peyton manning and brett favre !!! Cuum get you some UCF !!! We are the next UNDEFEATED AAC champs! The world is ours !!!

So you think they will average 45.5 points? Yet give up less points? I might believe the 2nd part.

I don't think White was brought here to not play---or start.

I thought the same thing about brady white, but it was hard to say from one spring game that he was better than david moore. He had an ugly start, but he did show some foot speed (not as much as david moore), and he did have a couple really nice deep throws as well. Still really shaky similar to how david moore and brady davis looked in last year's spring game. But again, that was just one spring game for him. The ability looked there, but his confidence and field awareness and accuracy were off.

I think david moore should have a slight advantage and should be able to separate himself from the rest. I've heard him say once somewhere before that he was the type of player who played better in actual games. Not sure if he was including the spring game in that quote. He did look the slight favorite early in the game. Towards the end, it was a toss up.

Norvell recruited him to two different schools----he will start.

Offense in practices might not look so sharp and on point because we might have a much, much better defense than many may realize?

I think it is Brady White job to lose. That said, I think Brady Davis steals the job. He is now healthy and would have had incredible stats in the spring game minus drops. Those good throws will show in film.

^ I tend to agree on White's job to lose. I guess it'll depend on who gels the most over the summer. Davis has been in the system the longest. Moore has been around long enough to establish ties and timing. White and other newbies need to develop rapport and trust with teammates. Somebody needs to step up. Too much talent on both sides of the ball to let a murky QB sit. derail a season. (Don't see it getting that far though).

I think that we are going to enjoy having a true dual-threat QB. I expect him to win the starting job. He is not as good as South Florida’s QB last year, but he does some of the same stuff.

Just my own thoughts.

I will tell you I have no connection to Moore what so ever, with the exception that I’m very close to people within the program and we both want tigers to do well. That kid hasn’t even had game experience and looks good, in my eyes. No qb, Lynch, wimprine, Ferguson, etc , were perfect prior to their first start. Just wait and see how this young man grows. It’s gonna be special, in my opinion

Lynch's first year, we scored 20 ppg. But the offense is definitely more loaded now than then. And Norvell plays at a faster pace than Fuente did. So much more than that.

Last year was 48 ppg. But that was a once in a ____ season. So a good bit less than that.

Ferguson's first year, we scored 39 ppg. We should expect less than that though, because Ferguson was really talented and more experienced.

I'm thinking 32ish points per game. But with better clock management and a much improved defense. And even better special teams.

4-5 losses? We would have to get beaten by some bad teams along the way to have a season that miserable.

Norvell wasn't concerned enough to jump ship. He surely believes he can work this group into something. Curious to see if he turns QB loose. I think he will.

8-4 wouldn't be all that bad would it?

I expect nothing less than 8-4. 8-4 would require some significant injuries though.

Next year may be a half step back but then the following year it should be full throttle again.

not worried, White has had limited time to learn the offense and work with his WR. I believe by the time we get out of camp next year that one of the two QB will step up. OL should be stronger and RB should be deep. Along with a better D.

Umm....what? We lose 9 seniors total from this team. Next year may be the best team we've ever had.
