Hoping they win a few more!! But I agree ILgymnast- looks like the offense will be up-tempo and trying to play quicker....should be entertaining!! Lots of energy from the coaches...

Maybe it's just all the activity on social media, but there seems to be a significant improvement in the atmosphere surrounding Kent State Football. A month ago the coaching staff was around campus serving pizza during finals... they're hosting multiple camps throughout the summer... and now custom suits for players. I'm sure quite a few of those men have never been in a tailored suit before. Being in a tailored suit generates a level of confidence a "sweat suit" or sweatpants/hoody never will. Coach Lewis isn't coming up with any new ideas, but he is executing at a level that Kent State hasn't seen in a few years and it's getting me jazzed for football season.

I actually think that the football team will win the MAC East before the basketball team does. I don't know whether that says more about how much football will improve or whether it says more about how stagnant the basketball program is becoming. maybe a little of both?

RE: Spring football
There is an energy that has been lacking since 2012. It remains to be seen if it's all sizzle or if the steak will be any good. I'm buying in so far after the staff reined in a strong recruiting class after starting from scratch after the early signing period. We need another class like this one before we can win the East, and I'm concerned because we have zero committments for 2019 while Miami, Toledo and WMU have multiple.
