If I'm understanding correctly, this won't affect ESPN3, so we should still be able to watch basketball without getting this new app.

I based my guess on this affecting basketball and/or football on how some baseball and softball games were shifted to ESPN+. If they're doing that with baseball and softball games, I was thinking they'd do that with other sports, especially the more popular ones. I'm not saying all UT basketball games (for example) will be on ESPN+, just that fewer of them will be on ESPN3.

Just a guess, though. And we all know how "brilliant" I am when it comes to making predictions.
