Yep. Easy to see how Jason and John are taking over the ratings. GP has no relevant info these days. I have heard nothing from him that I haven't heard somewhere else first. Then he still wants to throw in the "I knew about this weeks ago, but I couldn't say anything" crap. And his sidekick is the worst ever, Brad Carson... yes Gary. you are so right, Gary. You are so smart, Gary. Everything you say is magnificient, Gary. Reminds me of when Dave was on the Lapides show, non-stopped butt kissing.
Let's keep in mind that Gary has broken the biggest stories over the last few years including Tubby and hiring Penny. His connections are still real in this market, but a national columnist who also does a local radio gig and a national podcast does not have time to break recruiting news.
Oddly enough, Wolo was the first to bring up the Tub. Also, there was plenty of talk about Penny being the next guy, including from Jason and John. You might not have been listening to the Keelon interviews.
Yeah, I recall J&J had the best Penny scoops and GP seemed to be playing off them. GP was the one who broke the Larry Brown...news?...
But it's true about GP and recruiting. He admits frequently that he is not the recruiting guy. So anyone quotiing GP as a recruiting source is questionable.
