Come on guys, this isn't pro wrestling. Possession is not 9/10ths of the law.

4 MSU students broke into the Mal Moore building and stole some memorabilia last week. No specifics on what was stolen.

They've since been released on bond. No court dates set.

Many moons ago when I was a pledge some of the rival fraternities would had scavenger hunts the success of which would determine initiation. Usually you had to go and swipe something from another chapter of your fraternity at a rival school. UGA was frequently picked, sometimes Alabama and sometimes Tennessee or one of the Mississippi schools. This sounds eerily similar but more stupid.

That's not how it works. You take the most obnoxious borderline legacy who has pledged and you take him somewhere he's never been before and you leave him there with $20 bucks and he has to find his way back home in 24 hours. One of ours was handcuffed to a parking meter in Atlanta stripped down to his skivvies, and the remnants of a 1/5th of Jack Daniels poured over his head. The brothers figured it at the minimum he'd spend the night in an Atlanta lockup. But he made it back.

The Sigma Chi's here blindfolded one of theirs and put him in a Northbound boxcar. He made it to Wilmington, but didn't get back in time. But then that chapter was closed when another of their pledges died from alcohol poisoning.

So you know where home is, you just wouldn't know from where you would be leaving to get there.

BTW: Animal House was funny, but the movie was tame compared to the real deal.

Our 'takeouts' were very different. Our pledges would 'kidnap' a member. They could be left anywhere within the state. They had to be clothed sufficiently to avoid arrest and were left with a dime to call the fraternity house. We had one member who encountered someone who actually drove him back to the house (60 miles). The pledges stopped for a meal and the member was waiting for them on the front porch.

The 'squirrel' patrol scene in Animal House was hilarious and accurate.

Yeah, I get to laughing every time I see the Omega House "Thank you sir may I have another" scene. One of my dearest friends pledged a house where that was the tradition and it was one of those varnished long 1 inch think wooden paddles, so when I see that scene I substitute him into the picture and hoot. Why anyone would let a fraternity do that to them is beyond comprehension.

Can y'all imagine if they stole that Coca-Cola next to Saban's podium? Pure pandemonium I say!

Did you ever watch Dr. Strangelove (a Kubrick classic)? You're in deep trouble now Mandrake! You're going to have to answer to the Coca Cola Company!

Well this is boring. I was hoping they were going to take the national championship trophy and sell it to UCF...

They were hired by the garment industry to get back at Saban for saying, "Young lady, how many times are you going to wear that dress, once maybe twice?"

That's actually what they attempted to do, but we have people for that sort of thing. The culprits were identified near Gainesville because they were the only ones not wearing jorts.

What you're seeing in the media is the cover story designed to protect our assets in the field.
