Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein tells confidants he is prepared to be fired
Quote:Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has struck a stoic and righteous tone in private conversations he has had this week about the fate of his job as President Donald Trump has launched public criticism against him and considered firing him, according to three sources who have spoken to Rosenstein.

In those conversations, he has repeated the phrase, "Here I stand," a reference to Martin Luther's famous quote, "Here I stand, I can do no other." Coincidentally, former FBI Director James Comey, whom Rosenstein fired, repeated the same phrase to President George W. Bush in a conversation that has been widely reported and that Comey describes in his forthcoming book.

One source who spoke to Rosenstein said he seemed fully aware he may soon lose his job and was at peace with the possibility, confident he had done his job with integrity.

RE: Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein tells confidants he is prepared to be fired
It wasnt covered much in the news, but Trump summoned Rosenstein to the oval office last night. The particulars was the failing of DOJ of getting the subpoened info to congress. Rosenstein knows that he has to keep holding that info up, and likely get fired, or release it, and people start getting indicted.

RE: Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein tells confidants he is prepared to be fired
Quote:Rosenstein has said in recent private conversations that history will prove he did the right thing by firing Comey in May 2017, claiming that the American people do not have all the facts about what led to his decision to write the memo that led to Comey's dismissal, the sources said.

My goodness, what is it with these guys and their Holier than thou, God complexes, or whatever?

These guys are freaking diagnosable.

Good thing we have these guys, un-elected bureaucrats that they are, to run things for us, the great unwashed masses and choose who should and will be our "leaders". *Insurance policy. These people sound like some insurance sales people I've known. 07-coffee3

Sessions should fire him, Rosenstein bypassed him with the Cohen warrant something like that should have required Sessions approval, after all Sessions only recused himself from the Russia investigation.

I can't see why Rosenstein didn't pull back a year ago and join the legal, patriotic side of this sh*t show.

Actually, he could resign but that would damage his integrity. Mr. Rosenstein is no Martin Luther. Not even within an ocean's throw. Another entitled bureaucrat about to be felled by DJT's ax, yes indeed.
