Yes, we're 0-4, but as of October 8th, we are actually LEADING the MAC in attendance. The information below can be found at http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2004/Co...sc/MacBeat7.htm. Our attendance average will probably drop sharply after the Northern Illinois game (I doubt too many folks are interested in watching a team that just lost to Buffalo by four touchdowns).
Quote:Attendance Matters
With the renewed emphasis on attendance, we will be periodically checking in on MAC home attendance figures. To date, here are the averages as reported by each school through their most recent home games:
1. UCF 32,224 (1 game)
2. Marshall 28,306 (2 games)
3. Northern Illinois 26,719 (3 games)
4. Toledo 23,385 (2 games)
5. Bowling Green 23,088 (1 game)
6. Western Michigan 21,643 (1 game)
7. Kent State 21,323 (2 games)
8. Ball State 20,714 (2 games)
9. Buffalo 20,593 (2 games)
10. Miami 19,068 (2 games)
11. Akron 17,263 (1 game)
12. Eastern Michigan 16,922 (4 games)
13. Ohio 16,077 (2 games)
14. Central Michigan 13,774 (2 games)
Currently, only Central Michigan falls below the NCAA mandated Division 1A attendance requirement of 15,000 per game.
