This new privacy tool would speed up your internet, too
It's no joke how much data your internet service provider can collect about you. A new service from Cloudflare aims to change that.

Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 is a DNS resolver that's designed to speed up your internet and keep your browsing history private.

Eh, its not really doing all that much. Instead of asking your ISP to tell you that http://www.google.com is actually ip address 108.177.122.99 you would be asking that company. So your isp doesn't know what addresses you are typing in(kind of, it doesn't take a genius to do a reverse dns lookup once you know the ip address), but it still knows every connection you make and the type of traffic you are sending/receiving. It's only speeding up your internet connection fractionally by resolving those addresses faster than the ISP dns service. You can change your dns server to any number of free ones besides your isp for the same effect. I have found that google(8.8.8.8) seems to be the fastest.

If you truly do not want your ISP to know what you are doing you need to look into a VPN
