I'm announcing over at UH. She beat a field that included two runners from Texas A&M who were ranked in the top 10 in the NCAA, as well as 2017 WORLD CHAMPION Phyllis Francis of the USA (she won the 400 meters).

Well it's a great time but it was wind-aided so it's not a school record. That's a shame because it also would have been a UH track record were it not wind-aided. I can't recall if the NCAA allows wind-aided times for NCAA qualifying standards or not. It won't matter because she'll easily qualify for the NCAA regional meet anyway with her legal times.

So long as it's no more than 4.0 meters/second, it counts for NCAA. Her time is legitimate, since the allowable wind was not exceeded.
